Crossroads Community Serve Sunday (June 22, 2025)
Vedder River Park Clean up / Serving hot chocolate and treats / kids station and crafts
What to know and expect: Arrive at the Vedder River Park parking lot for 10:30am and meet as a church there. Once together, we will give out garbage bags/picker sticks and give instructions and where to go.
If you are not picking up garbage, there is the option of giving out some snacks and hot chocolate on the trail/park area. We would like to set up a station to give people a FREE drink/snack and a warm smile as they go by. Maybe even a “hello” a “Have a great day” and see where the conversation might go!
For the kids: We see a couple potential options
1-Help pick up some garbage, kids will need to be supervised by parents for this option
2-Help handout drinks/snacks
3- We will have a table set up where kids can color and make crafts.
Once the attention span of your child is “over” feel free to play at the park.
Our time will end at 11:30am. Feel free to hang out and chat after your time serving together.
What to bring: Dress for the weather (this event will happen rain or shine), garbage picker upper sticks will be provided but you can bring your own, gloves, a great attitude!
